The role
The Product Manager - Consulting Offerings manages the lifecycle of consulting offerings and the portfolio of reusable intellectual property within the practice. The role cross-functional as it sits at the intersection of practice capability, delivery, and commercialization and works closely with:
- Practice Leadership for capability direction and approval of technical scope and capability alignment
- Solution Architects for technical design and architecture alignment
- Delivery Leadership for validation of delivery feasibility, pricing models, and margin guardrails
- Marketing and CVJ (Customer Value Journey) POD for commercialization assets and go to market positioning
- Strategic Account Teams and Commercial Teams for pipeline generation, account pull, and sales execution to ensure offerings remain market relevant, technically robust, and economically viable.
The role aligns these contributions so that consulting capabilities are translated into structured offerings that can be consistently packaged, sold, and delivered across accounts. The role focuses on offering lifecycle management and service productization. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the offering catalogue
- Maintaining the offering roadmap and backlog
- Proposing new offerings based on market demand and research
- Recommending retirement of outdated offerings
- Maintaining standardized offering documentation and packaging
The role combines two operating dimensions. Innovation responsibilities include:
- Identifying new offerings based on market demand and research
- Working with practice leads to define offerings in detail
Governance responsibilities include:
- Ensuring reuse of intellectual property
- Maintaining documentation and delivery playbooks
The Product Manager owns the offering lifecycle management process and provides portfolio ownership and lifecycle stewardship for the consulting offerings. Organizational decision boundaries include:
- Practice Leads approve technical scope and capability alignment
- Delivery leadership validates pricing models and margin guardrails
- Commercial teams drive pipeline generation and sales execution
You will
Offering Portfolio Ownership
- Own and manage the practice’s Productized Offering Catalogue
- Maintain the offering roadmap and backlog
- Prioritize offerings based on market demand and account pull
- Define scope, deliverables, and engagement models
- Ensure offerings follow the Assessment to MVP to Scale pathway
- Maintain offering lifecycle including launch, evolution, and retirement
Intellectual Property Development
Drive and coordinate creation and reuse of practice intellectual property.
- Reference architectures
- Frameworks and accelerators
- Templates and delivery playbooks
- Migration patterns
- Automation scripts
- AI driven tooling
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure intellectual property is documented and accessible
- Encourage reuse of intellectual property across accounts
- Capture learnings from delivery engagements and convert them into reusable assets
Commercialization and Sales Enablement
Work with the CVJ POD and marketing teams to ensure offerings are commercially ready. Responsibilities include:
- Define value propositions and differentiation
- Contribute to sales decks and offering documentation
- Support creation of case studies and positioning
- Enable internal sales teams with offering knowledge
- Participate in internal training and microlearning initiatives
Delivery Alignment and Economic Viability
Collaborate with delivery leadership to ensure offerings are:
- Technically feasible
- Economically viable
- Scalable across engagements
Responsibilities include:
- Define pricing bands and effort models
- Ensure margin guardrails are maintained
- Align delivery playbooks and estimation models
- Capture feedback from delivery teams
Market and Customer Feedback Integration
Continuously improve offerings based on:
- Customer feedback
- Win loss analysis
- Partner insights
- Competitive landscape
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain offering backlog
- Identify enhancements or new offerings
- Adjust positioning based on market signals
Who you are
- 8 to 12 or more years in technology consulting, product management, or solution architecture
- Experience working with enterprise technology transformation programs
- Experience packaging consulting services into structured offerings
- Familiarity with Data and AI, Cloud, or Application modernization
- Exposure to North American enterprise markets preferred
Technical and Commercial Skills
- Strong understanding of technology consulting delivery models
- Ability to translate technical capability into market ready offerings
- Familiarity with modern architectures including cloud native and AI enabled systems
- Strong commercial awareness of pricing, margins, and delivery economics
- Ability to work with both technical and commercial stakeholders
